Our biggest shift this year will be that $5 of each entry is going to Alzheimer’s research and prevention. Where we host this race is on our family’s property, now expanding over 4 generations. The matriarch of our family, Flora Mae Bridgeman, suffered and passed from this terrible disease. She always loved hosting gatherings at her place. Knowing she’d love to see the yearly party we throw every year, we thought it only fitting to use this event to do some good and not only raise awareness, but money as well. Thank you in advance for helping us in this cause that’s near and dear to our family.

The race itself consists of a 4.167 mile “loop”. The terrain is a mix of pasture, trail, gravel road, and dreaded blacktop. You will be exposed while on the course There is plenty of shade to setup and water and ice provided at the start/finish line. It is a fatass style race, where you provide your own nutrition to run with. You should bring some to share with the community as well. We do provide dinner, lunch, breakfast, throughout the weekend.
